Animal Crossing September

September is here! What does that mean for our New Leaf villages? Well, a bunch of new fish and bugs for starters – and a few exciting events to boot…

Now that the heat of August has passed and the nights are noticeably drawing in, you’ll begin to notice a decline in the number of available bugs. Dragonflies, cicadas, beetles, and stags are all off the menu – to be partially replaced by an increased variety of butterflies and crickets.

However, don’t feel disheartened; this decrease in the number of bugs is balanced, to an extent, by increased fish types. Hooray!

So, let’s take a closer look at what’s going on in New Leaf this month:

New Bugs

Bell Cricket, Common Butterfly, Cricket, Monarch Butterfly, Red Dragonfly, Violin Beetle, and Yellow Butterfly will all be available at some point this month.

New Fish

Clam*, Char, Salmon, Cherry Salmon, King Salmon, Mitten Crab, Octopus*, Oyster*, Pike, Rainbow Trout, Spiny Lobster*, and Sweet Shrimp* will all appear at some point this September. Diving items are marked with an asterisk.

Mark your calendars; we have 3 big events this month:

Labor Day – 2nd September

Autumn Moon – 19th September

Bug-Off – 21st September

And, of course, it being a new month and all, you might also want to go visit Pelly or Phyllis to see if they have any gifts for you…
